International Forum "Discover ATOM: Trends in Popular Science Tourism"

On October 15, the ATOM Museum invites you to the International Forum "Discover ATOM: Trends in Popular Science Tourism". Here, representatives of the tourism industry, government agencies, educational and public organizations will discuss the prospects for the development of science and popular science tourism industry, build new tourist routes and share experiences and ideas. Schoolchildren, students and parents will engage in science and research at master classes and a quest. The forum is organized by the ATOM Museum, the Russian Union of Travel Industry, the All-Russian Center of Competence for Career Guidance, the Agency for the Development of Children's, Youth, Family Tourism, Educational and Innovative Practices. Together, they will launch a new international children and youth’s movement. Register to participate.

Opening and plenary session "Trends of popular science tourism"

The forum opens with a welcoming speech by Elena Mironenko, CEO of the ATOM Foundation, giving way to a plenary discussion. It will be attended by Ilya Umansky, President of the Russian Union of Travel Industry, Olga Shandurenko, Projects Director of the Urban Economy Division of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, representatives of the All-Russian Youth Council for Tourism, the Ministry of Economic Development, the State Duma, the Ministry of Education and others. Strategic session "Dynamics of development of popular science tourism in Russia, prospects of international exchange"

Representatives of the tourism industry, ministries and international organizations will discuss the development of science and popular science tourism to form a general idea of what the path the ATOM museum should take as the development driver in the international creative movement. The discussion will be moderated by the CEO of the ATOM Foundation Elena Mironenko and the head of the committee for children's and family tourism of the Russian Travel Union Industry Olesya Muliyer.
Practical session "Creative laboratory for creating popular science routes"
14:00–16:00, "People and cities", -3rd floor
Tour operators, representatives of the All-Russian Youth Council, educational institutions and researchers involving students and schoolchildren to create new routes for popular science tourism. The session will be moderated by the Deputy Head of the Department for the development of educational tourism of the Project Office for the Development of Moscow’s Tourism and Hospitality Konstantin Starostin.
Master classes "ATOMlandia: young researcher"
14:00–16:00, Diagonal, -3rd floor/Lounge, -2nd floor/"Time of the Pioneers", -2nd floor
Here, schoolchildren, students, parents and teachers will learn more about scientific research and project management through interactive formats. They will take part in master classes and a quest. Afterwards, children will draw how they see the ATOM Museum and how they began to understand the importance of science after participating in the events. Their works will be exhibited in our museum.
Youth battle "ATOM of the Future"
14:00–16:00, Atomgrad Zone, -3rd floor
Its participants will formulate concepts for international cooperation in the development and promotion of popular science tourism, where the ATOM Museum functions as a hub distributing tourist flows.
